Day Use Host: Clean pavilions, empty ash from bins, fireplaces & BBQ's, extinguishing fires, if necessary, clean BBQ's. Litter pick day use area, trails, and walkways. Pick up down limbs. Blow off walkways, around lodge and restrooms, parking lots & tables as needed. Fill pet waste dispensers as needed. When time allows, clean picnic tables, blow bike trail and trim vegetation per ranger’s instruction. Stocking firewood in the lodge (seasonal). Visitor Services – Greeting park visitors & answering general park questions, advising of park rules, handout maps as requested. Possible Maintenance - Assist with landscaping needs including minor trimming, weeding, mowing & weed eating. Possibility of other assigned tasks by park staff depending on interests and abilities.

The Cabin Host provides service for Silver Falls State Park by supporting campground operations and improves visitor experience by providing direct service and support to the yurt and cabin program at the park.

Time Commitment: Volunteers should anticipate a schedule that includes Five days a week, approximately 4-6 hours each day to be completed between the hours of 9:30am – 4pm.

Silver Falls State Park is the kind of standout scenic treasure that puts Oregon firmly onto the national—and international—stage. Its beauty, boundless recreational opportunities and historic presence keep it there.

The Cabin Host provides service for Silver Falls State Park by supporting campground operations and improves visitor experience by providing direct service and support to the yurt and cabin program at the park. Blow site pads & throughout the cabin loop area as needed, pick up limbs, clean and rake around fire pits, litter pick & clean cabins per OPRD issued cabin cleaning standards. Silver Falls has 14 cabins in total, all rustic cabins, meaning that there are NO BATHROOMS OR KITCHENS to clean. Possibility of other assigned tasks by park staff depending on interests and abilities.

The Shop Maintenance Host provides service for Silver Falls State Park by supporting landscaping, general repair, special maintenance projects, and maintenance shop upkeep.

Time Commitment: Volunteers should anticipate a schedule that includes 5 days a week volunteering 5+/- hours each day, per volunteer to be completed between the hours of 7am and 6pm.
