Wallowa Lake Management Unit supports operations for these properties in the Joseph area near the Wallowa Mountains: Fountain Wayside, Iwetemlaykin State Heritage Site, Johnson Timber Wayside, Minam State Recreation Area, Wallowa Lake Highway Forest State Scenic Corridor, Wallowa Lake State Park, Wallowa River Wayside, Little Aps Day-Use & Wallowa Falls Campground.
What We Do
Volunteers with Wallowa Management Unit provide support in a variety of roles, including: Campground Host, Interpretive Host, Maintenance Host and Landscaping Volunteers. These properties provide a base camp for wilderness treks, lake & river access, camping, day use areas including a marina concessionaire, picnic tables, biking, fishing, walking paths & mountain views.
