Located at the confluence of the east and west forks of the Illinois River, the park offers picnic tables and restrooms (vault toilet). There is a short walking trail near the picnic area and a 9-hole disc golf course. The Illinois Valley is a unique geologic area with many rare plants.
The Day use Host provides service for a park by supporting landscaping, general repair, special maintenance projects, and maintenance shop upkeep. Review the Volunteer Assignment Description for this position here.
Time Commitment: Volunteers should anticipate a schedule that includes 20-30 hours of volunteer service each week, per host.
