Description

Responding to this opportunity alerts staff of your interest in this role. It does not automatically sign you up for this assignment. Park Staff will reach out to interview you and determine if you will be selected to volunteer for this specific assignment and if potential availability for this assignment matches your needs.

At this time positions are filled and we will be keeping lists of interested hosts for our reopening - likely in 2027.

A popular campground and day-use area, Cape Lookout is located on a sand spit between Netarts Bay and the ocean. This scenic park is a destination for hiking, dark skies, beachcombing and visiting sites along the Three Cape Scenic Route.

The yurt & cabin host provides service for Cape Lookout State Park by supporting yurt and deluxe cabin cleaning,  landscaping, general repair, camp laundry if assigned and light campsite/ camp road and path maintenance. From October through May these host sites are responsible for assigned evening wood and ice sales availability as well as assigned yurt/cabin cleaning. Hosts in C60 have a host shed located in their campsite which all other campground hosts use in the daytime.  Review the volunteer assignment description for this position here.

On assigned wood host days, start later in day on fewer assigned yurts/cabins and be on-call at your campsite for customer service/retail as needed in general and 4-8 pm specifically.
