Clyde Holliday State Recreation Site is an oasis along the sparkling John Day River and a base camp for exploring the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness and the region's many historical sites. The park features a year-round picnic area and a small seasonal campground with two tepees available for rent. The park's tall, willowy cottonwood trees provide shade and serenity.
The Campground Host for Clyde Holiday State Recreation Site provides service by assisting park guests, daily checks of park facilities, campsite cleaning, and light landscaping. Review the Volunteer Assignment Description for this position here.
Time Commitment: Volunteers should anticipate a schedule that includes 20 - 30 hours of volunteer service each week, per host. This assignment is expected to work 5 days a week with 2 consecutive mid-week days off.
