Unity Lake State Recreation Site is an oasis of green in Oregon's high desert that offers boating and angling. The small campground is the perfect jumping-off point for visiting nearby historical sites and wilderness areas. The day-use area has picnic tables on a large expanse of lawn with ample shade. This area includes a boat ramp, boat trailer parking, restrooms and water. Open year-round, it attracts anglers for ice fishing in the winter.
The Campground Host for Unity Lake State Recreation Site provides service by assisting park guests, daily checks of park facilities, campsite cleaning, and light landscaping. Review the Volunteer Assignment Description for this position here.
Time Commitment: Volunteers should anticipate a schedule that includes 20 - 30 hours of volunteer service each week, per host. This assignment is expected to work 5 days a week with 2 consecutive mid-week days off.
