If you're interested in this position, your home would be a lovely RV site with full hookups at Bend Oregon's finest family park. In exchange for the site, your tasks will be to clean yurts on days you work, clean fire pits, sell firewood, help with snow removal using our snow blower, and cover the greeting hosts on their days off. This is a great way to give back to Oregon State Parks, assist our rangers, and enjoy the central Oregon sunshine. Site number is B06.
Tumalo is a busy park, and a large part of the job can include answering visitor's questions about registration, the park, and Central Oregon.
Tumalo has two loops open during the winter months and 7 basic yurts (no bathrooms or kitchens).
You'll be working with 1 other set of hosts and up to 3 rangers in the campground.

Opportunity exists for this to be a 2–3-month position.
The Winter Yurt Host provides service for Tumalo State Park by cleaning up to 7 yurts daily, checking restrooms for cleanliness, cleaning campsites & fire pits, and may be asked to do other projects.Time Commitment: Volunteers should anticipate 20-25 hours per week, 4-5 hours per person per day, hours to be completed between the hours of 7:00 am-5:00 pm.
