Elijah Bristow State Park is located on the Middle Fork of the Willamette River, and is easy to reach by State Highway 58, located southeast of Eugene. Three reservable group picnic areas, and numerous first-come, first-served picnic sites provide plenty of opportunity to relax and enjoy nature. Elijah Bristow has more than 10 miles of trail for hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians. Kayakers and canoeists will appreciate a new access trail to the river for the start of their journey on the Willamette River Water Trail.
The Day Use Host provides service for Elijah Bristow State Park by supporting staff with park secrurity, general landscaping, checking restrooms, alerting staff to safety issues, facility issues, and major cleaning needs, and greeting park guests. Time Commitment: Volunteers should anticipate a schedule that includes approximately 4 hours per day per individual or couple with required weekend and special event coverage. Travel to nearby parks may be required.
