Campground Host at Nehalem Bay State Park - A2 - SCHEDULED from October 1, 2026 to October 31, 2026  

General Responsibilities: • Respond to visitor, staff, and volunteer requests in an attentive and respectful manner. • Assist with cabin and/or yurt guest check-in and checkout. • Perform general cleaning and servicing of yurt and/or cabins; including: restocking bathrooms, emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters and sinks. • Alert staff to safety issues, facility issues, and major cleaning needs. • Provide general site maintenance, including cleaning out fire pits, light landscaping, and sweeping. • Operate utility vehicles (golf carts, gators, etc.). • Provide maintenance, cleaning, and support for transfer station and recycling station. • Perform substantial seasonal cleaning of facilities. • Provide general campground maintenance, including cleaning out fire pits, light landscaping, and sweeping. • General landscaping duties including: pruning, raking, weeding, mowing, and trimming. Restricted Tasks: • Enforce park rules: Hosts may share information on park rules with visitors, but volunteers do not enforce rules or make initial contacts for rule infractions. This activity is only performed by paid park staff with enforcement training. Minimum Required Qualifications: • Be at least 18 years old. • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. • Ability to travel on uneven terrain, as well as be stationary for long periods of time. • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions.
