Campground Host at William M. Tugman State Park - For September 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026 NOT CONFIRMED (expressing interest only)

Calendar Sep 1, 2026 through Sep 30, 2026

Description

Responding to this opportunity alerts staff of your interest. It does not automatically sign you up for this assignment. Park Staff will reach out to interview you and determine if you will be selected to volunteer for this specific assignment.

Despite its close proximity to Highway 101, Tugman State Park is relatively unknown — a private hideaway on the wondrous south coast. Situated on Eel Lake near the community of Lakeside, Tugman offers campsites with electric/water hookups tucked away in a mature stand of shore pines. Tugman is centrally located for visitors wishing to explore the Oregon coast from Reedsport to Coos Bay. The famous Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is less than a mile away.

Campground hosts sell firewood from their sites using a Ventek Pay Machine, provide customer service and answer any camper questions. Review the volunteer assignment description for this position here.

Time Commitment: Sell firewood from 2pm-8pm. 5 days a week 30hrs per week.

Location: William Tugman State Park. Learn more about the park and the available amenities on the Host Site Directory page for this property online here.

This opportunity is available for one individual or a team of hosts staying together at the same site.
