People call it the “crown jewel” of the Oregon State Parks system, and once you visit, you know why. Silver Falls State Park is the kind of standout scenic treasure that puts Oregon firmly onto the national—and international—stage. Its beauty, boundless recreational opportunities and historic presence keep it there.
The Cabin Host provides service for Silver Falls State Park by supporting campground operations and improves visitor experience by providing direct service and support to the yurt and cabin program at the park. Blow site pads & throughout the cabin loop area as needed, pick up limbs, clean and rake around fire pits, litter pick & clean cabins per OPRD issued cabin cleaning standards. Silver Falls has 14 cabins in total, all rustic cabins, meaning that there are NO BATHROOMS OR KITCHENS to clean. Possibility of other assigned tasks by park staff depending on interests and abilities.
Time Commitment: Volunteers should anticipate a schedule that includes Five days a week, approximately 4-6 hours each day to be completed between the hours of 9:30am – 4pm.
