Bullards Beach is a large, family-oriented park located at the mouth of the Coquille River, two miles north of Bandon. The campground is nestled among shore pines and protected from strong ocean breezes. Visitors can enjoy strolling on the beach, riding horses, exploring a lighthouse and excellent fishing and crabbing in the river.
Greeting Host This position serves as a crucial contact point for campers and other park visitors. You will be expected to greet visitors, distribute park literature, answer questions, receive comments and be readily accessible to the public. This position is also responsible for notifying park staff or law enforcement when emergencies arise or activities within the park warrant a response from staff. You will also be expected to sell firewood from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM the days you are on duty, check and stock restrooms after hours, and run the trash compactors when necessary. During the off-season this position is also responsible for raising and lowering the flags, registration and sale of yurts, and locking the beach access restroom nightly. This job requires hosts to stay near their site while on duty. On days when you are not on duty as a greeting host, you will be responsible for cleaning the interiors and exteriors of yurts, picking up litter around the yurt sites, and cleaning out the fire pits. You will also be expected to notify park rangers of any maintenance and/or repair items for the yurts. Occasionally you will be asked to assist maintenance hosts with site cleaning, depending on the workload. This position may include other duties that are not mentioned in this description.
