Hidden in a forest between Cape Foulweather and Yaquina Head, Beverly Beach State Park’s creekside campground is one of the state’s largest. Some campsites and the park’s day-use area are just steps away from miles of ocean beach extending from Yaquina Head to Otter Rock. The park is central to excellent whale watching viewpoints, tidepools teeming with sea life, the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and shops and restaurants in Newport


Welcome Center hosts provide a service to the public. As both a park representative, store and visitor center host, hosts provide and receive information related to the campground, products sold in building and general area. Selling merchandise via a Poynt operating system while performing OPRD cash handling protocols. Review the volunteer assignment description for this position here. Returning hosts have the opportunity to stay for 3 months per calendar year, hosts that are new to our program are typically given a single month as their "trial" before committing to longer stays. 


Time Commitment: Volunteers should anticipate a schedule that includes about 20 hours of volunteer service each week, per host. Two shifts available are 10am-2pm or 2-6pm. Four hour shift blocks 5 days a week, with two concurrent days off each week.
