Get Connected Icon Until Nov 30, 2026

Description

Responding to this opportunity alerts staff of your interest in this role. It does not automatically sign you up for this assignment. Park Staff will reach out to interview you and determine if you will be selected to volunteer for this specific assignment and if potential availability for this assignment matches your needs.

Tseriadun (pronounced serry-AH-dun) is popular with visitors stretching their legs on the miles-long beach, agate collectors (there's a reason the community calls it Agate Beach) and photographers intent on capturing the perfect shots of offshore rocks and headlands. Long ago, Native Americans lived at the site in cedar plank houses and hunted and fished in the mountains and rivers. Now, you can fish for rainbow trout and native cutthroat trout in Garrison Lake.

The Day-Use Host provides service for a park that is only open to visitor day-use and does not provide overnight facilities for visitors. The Day-Use Host is the only individual allowed to stay overnight in the park at a designated park host site. Host volunteer helps maintain day-use areas by supporting landscaping and facilities at the park. Review the Volunteer Assignment Description for this position here.

Time Commitment: Volunteers should anticipate a schedule that includes 20 – 30 hours of volunteer service each week, per host. Days off will be Mondays & Tuesdays. A schedule of expected duties will be provided to help with planning for that week. On duty hours may be between dawn and dusk; there is a split in the shift due to gate duty at open and close of park.

Location: Tseriadun State Recreation Site. Learn more about the park and the available amenities on the Host Site Directory page for this park online here.

This opportunity is available for one individual or a team of hosts staying together at the same site.
