Near the summit of the Blue Mountains, Emigrant Springs State Heritage Area preserves a site where people, including travelers on the Oregon Trail, have replenished water supplies since time immemorial. Now visitors find a refreshing place to camp in a mature forest between Pendleton and La Grande.
The camp and cabin host at Emigrant Springs State Heritage
Area supports park operations by providing customer

Commitment:
Volunteers should anticipate a schedule that includes about 20
hours of volunteer service each week, per host. 4-5 hours per person per day, 5 days/week, performed between the hours of
11:00am and 4:00pm.
