Near the summit of the Blue Mountains, Emigrant Springs State Heritage Area preserves a site where people, including travelers on the Oregon Trail, have replenished water supplies since time immemorial. Now visitors find a refreshing place to camp in a mature forest between Pendleton and La Grande.


The camp and cabin host at Emigrant Springs State Heritage Area supports park operations by providing customer
service to park visitors, maintaining cabins, and assisting with general campground maintenance.Review the volunteer assignment description for this position here.


Time Commitment: Volunteers should anticipate a schedule that includes about 20  hours of volunteer service each week, per host. 4-5 hours per person per day, 5 days/week, performed between the hours of
11:00am and 4:00pm.
