Named for its crowning feature, the iconic Heceta Head Lighthouse, this park also features an historic bed and breakfast, a sheltered beach that's easy to access from the parking lot, and a challenging and scenic hike along a section of the Oregon Coast Trail.
The interpretive host enhances the visitor experience by providing engaging information about park-specific natural as well as cultural history and facilitating visitor access inside of the historical lighthouse. Review the Volunteer Assignment Description for this position here.
Time Commitment: This assignment is expected to work either 3 consecutive days on then off for 3
consecutive days (then repeat) or work 4 consecutive days then off for 3 consecutive (then repeat). 20 hours a week per person minimum. Your volunteer time begins when you arrive at Heceta parking lot and ends when you arrive back at your vehicle in the parking lot.
