The Deschutes River State Recreation Area is a tree-shaded, overnight oasis for campers and a gateway to the Lower Deschutes Wildlife Area that begins just over a mile south of the park. The Deschutes River converges with the Columbia at this hub for hiking, mountain biking, camping, whitewater rafting and world-class steelhead and trout fishing.
The campground host at Deschutes River State Recreation Area supports park operations by providing customer service to park visitors, maintaining campsites, and assisting with general campground maintenance and landscaping. Review the volunteer assignment description for this position here.
Time Commitment: Volunteers should anticipate a schedule that includes about 20 -30 hours of volunteer service each week, per host.
