Beaver Creek State Natural Area is a place to see nature up close. Whether you hike through upland forest or paddle through the lush marsh, signs of life abound. Just minutes from Highway 101, the marsh supports river otter, beaver and migratory and resident birds. The mouth of Beaver Creek opens to the Pacific Ocean at Ona Beach. One mile east of Ona Beach and Highway 101, a viewing deck overlooks the marsh and creek, with interpretive panels describing the area’s ecology and wildlife. Beaver Creek offers opportunities for paddle sports and hiking.
The Visitor Services/Grounds Maintenance Host provides service for Beaver Creek by supporting landscaping, maintaining day-use and facilities, trail maintenance, and assisting with projects. Review the volunteer assignment description for this position here.
Time Commitment: Volunteers should anticipate a schedule that includes up to 6 hours per day, 5 days a week per volunteer. Not to exceed 30 a week.
