A few miles south of Waldport, this small, exquisite destination campground is right alongside miles of broad, sandy beach perfect for kite flying and whale watching. Every campsite is mere seconds from the beach, which makes the park perfect for watching storms and sunsets. With easy access to the ocean, the bay and the vast woodlands of the Siuslaw National Forest, Waldport makes an ideal base for outdoor recreation year-round. Play a round of golf, go kayaking, satisfy your seafood cravings and peruse antiques all in the same day. If you’re lucky, in winter you might catch some epic storm-watching.
Campground/Yurt Hosts: Assist in park operations such as provide information to park visitors, clean
and maintain campsites, pick-up litter, clean yurts, meet and greet park visitors and sell firewood. Review the volunteer assignment description for this position here.
Time Commitment: Volunteers should anticipate a schedule that includes up to 6 hours per day, 5 days a week per volunteer. Off Days: Monday/Tuesday
