Constructed in 1898 for ranchers Patrick and Jane Hughes, the 3,000-square foot farmhouse retains its Victorian charm. Tour the home to learn about early 20th century farm life from knowledgeable volunteers.
The Interpretive Host provides service for Cape Blanco State Park by greeting visitors and provide a guided tour to broaden the public understanding of this historic home by covering the history of the Hughes House and the Hughes Family from a program outline. Time Commitment: Volunteers should anticipate a schedule that includes one month minimum working up to 6 hours per day, not to exceed 24 hours per week, per host.
