Description

• Communicate well with park staff and visitors. Be a courteous and constructive member of our team. • Be a positive, professional presence in the park. Help campers find their sites, check-in, and purchase amenities like walk-in reservations, ice, and firewood. Answer questions about the park and what it has to offer. • Clean camp sites after outgoing reservations leave: Litter pick, Return lost and found items to park staff, Clean fire pits of trash, Add gravel to horse corrals if necessary, Inform park staff of maintenance needs, etc. • Assist Park Rangers in cleaning the horse manure stalls when necessary • Check campground restrooms for messes and inform park staff if extra cleaning is necessary (Park Rangers will clean the restrooms daily). Re-stock paper products. • Be the eyes and ears of the park: inform Park Ranger on duty when changes occur in the campground (walk-in reservation sales, early check-outs etc.). Inform OPRD staff if any problems or rules violations occur. • Maintain lawns and landscaping. • Utilize hand tools in accordance with OPRD safety trainings and directives such as: Loppers, Litter pickers, Shovels, Rakes • Operate motorized equipment in accordance with OPRD safety trainings and directives such as: Small utility vehicles, Push and Belly Deck Mowers, Weedwhackers, Leaf Blowers • Assist with landscape maintenance in the Clayhill Horse Staging Area as well as: Check on manure stall levels, Check toilet paper at the restrooms, Litter pick • Other tasks as assigned by Park Rangers • This position requires frequently standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. It frequently requires lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 20 lbs. and may occasionally require moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
